Security Consulting
W.H. (Bud) Garrick has more than 30 years of experience in the realm of police and security operations both domestically and internationally. He served with the Canadian Forces Military Police for 27 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel and Commanding Officer of the Canadian Forces National Investigation Service, upon retirement he assumed the position of Deputy Director General for Criminal Intelligence Service Canada. He is currently active in security consulting as a key Principal of Presidia Security Consulting and an Associate with Lansdowne Technologies Incorporated.
Counterterrorism & Counterintelligence
Angela Gendron is a Senior Fellow at the Canadian Centre of Intelligence and Security Studies, The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University, Ottawa, and a Visiting Fellow at the University of Buckingham, Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies, UK. Her fields of research relate to counterterrorism and counterintelligence. Current research interests are focused on domestic overhead surveillance using unmanned aerial systems; cyber security strategy; and the protection of critical national infrastructure. She has published extensively in professional magazines, scholarly journals and books on a range of topics from Jihadism to the ethics of intelligence collection.

David Gewirtz is Editor-in-Chief of the ZATZ magazines. He is the Cyberterrorism Advisor for the International Association for Counterterrorism & Security Professionals and a columnist for The Journal of Counterterrorism and Homeland Security. He is a member of the FBI's InfraGard program, the security partnership between the FBI and industry. He is also a member of the National Defense Industrial Association, the leading defense industry association promoting national security.
Maritime Search and Rescue
Blair Gilmore
Blair Gilmore is a retired naval officer with 20 years of public service between the Canadian Coast Guard, Royal Canadian Air Force and Royal Canadian Navy. He was one of the first trained Rescue Specialists of the Coast Guard’s Dive Rescue Team located in Richmond, BC. In 2007, he rejoined the military as a pilot and later became a MARS officer. Currently, he is a research fellow for the Royal United Services Institute of NS.
Simulation Systems
Mike is the President of CAE Professional Services, with offices in Canada (Greenley & Associates Inc.), the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. Mike's service career over the past 15 years has focused on the development of user centred, simulation based analysis, design, testing, and training, and on the definition of integrated professional services that exhibit these principles in support of systems and capability engineering. Mike received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the University of Waterloo, is a Project Management Professional, and a member of a number of human factors and modeling & simulation societies.
