Border Safety & Security
Thomas is a recognized international expert on border safety, security and migration management. His career began in the CBSA, and in 1993 was appointed Regional Immigration Control Officer accredited to 13 countries. After many major contributions and promotions he was soon recognized for establishing innovative intelligence reporting and counter trafficking programs in Central and Eastern Europe. He is a founding member and since 2003 the Executive Director of BORDERPOL?, a global body of security and migration experts, distinguished diplomats and recognized academics. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, is married, has two children, three grandchildren and currently resides near Toronto, Ontario.
An innovative thinker, Warren Tkachuk is able to succeed with challenging initiatives. He has channeled this by supporting SMBs and self sustaining community initiatives. As the managing director at Achieve IP, he bridges strategic operational initiatives with executives and stakeholders. Achieve IP, is a management company that creates shared value partnerships, is conscious about integrating Indigenous people into the Canadian economy and building sustainable funding vehicles for social enterprises.

In 2000, Sean Tracey became the first Regional Manager in Canada for the National Fire Protection Association. He is a past Director of the Canadian Council of Fire Marshals and Fire Commissioners and from 2005 to 2010 served as the Chairman of the Board of the Canadian Centre for Emergency Preparedness. Sean is a graduate of the Royal Military College of Kingston with a Civil Engineering Degree. He is a certified Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario. He contributes regularly to technical publications on fire and life safety.
Crisis & Continuity Management
Annick is Director of Security, Crisis & Continuity Management, for GlaxoSmithKline Vaccines, located in Belgium. A criminologist with 25 years of experience, Annick started her career as an operative with the Canadian Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS). She has performed duties as Investigator, Intelligence Officer in both Counter Intelligence and Counter Terrorism. She has extensive experience at a senior managerial level with significant safety and security experience in the international environment; She has demonstrated leadership experience with strategic vision and proven skills in managing complex organizations. Her extensive experience in handling complex safety and security issues includes disaster/crisis management and in managing a large and geographically dispersed department.
