W.H. (Bud) Garrick has more than 30 years of experience in the realm of police and security operations both domestically and internationally. He served with the Canadian Forces Military Police for 27 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel and Commanding Officer of the Canadian Forces National Investigation Service, upon retirement he assumed the position of Deputy Director General for Criminal Intelligence Service Canada. He is currently active in security consulting as a key Principal of Presidia Security Consulting and an Associate with Lansdowne Technologies Incorporated.
Counterterrorism & Counterintelligence
Angela Gendron is a Senior Fellow at the Canadian Centre of Intelligence and Security Studies, Carleton University, and a Visiting Fellow at the University of Buckingham, Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies, UK. Her fields of research relate to counterterrorism and counterintelligence. Current research interests are focused on domestic overhead surveillance using unmanned aerial systems; cyber security strategy; and the protection of critical national infrastructure.

He is the Cyberterrorism Advisor for the International Association for Counterterrorism & Security Professionals and a columnist for The Journal of Counterterrorism and Homeland Security. Mark Gillan
A firefighter, HazMat technician, and Fire Rescue specialist, Mark finished his 26-year career with the Fire Service in the position of Deputy Chief and Director of the Saint John Emergency Management Organization. He went on to cofound Emergency Solutions International (ESI), and has led teams of ESI personnel to assist corporations prepare resiliency strategies. He has conducted over 150 corporate validation exercises and evaluations around the world.

Blair Gilmore
Blair Gilmore is a retired naval officer with 20 years of public service between the Canadian Coast Guard, Royal Canadian Air Force and Royal Canadian Navy. He was one of the first trained Rescue Specialists of the Coast Guard’s Dive Rescue Team located in Richmond, BC. In 2007, he rejoined the military as a pilot and later became a MARS officer. Currently, he is a research fellow for the Royal United Services Institute of NS.

Shawn Goudge
Shawn Goudge is the Regional Manager Aviation Security for Africa and the Middle East with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) based in Amman Jordan. Having specialized in aviation security since 2006, he joined IATA from the Canadian Department of Transport in January 2019. An aviation security specialist, Mr Goudge has expertise in the fields of compliance, audit, inspection, training, project delivery, regulation and policy. He has worked extensively in Canada and has deployed operationally to multiple locations around the world with significant experience in the Middle East Region. Shawn is certified by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as Aviation Security Professional Manager (AVSEC-PM) having completed the required training at Concordia University. He is also certified Aviation Security Auditor and Instructor with ICAO.

Mike is the President of CAE Professional Services, with offices in Canada (Greenley & Associates Inc.), the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. Mike's service career over the past 15 years has focused on the development of user centred, simulation based analysis, design, testing, and training, and on the definition of integrated professional services that exhibit these principles in support of systems and capability engineering. Mike received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the University of Waterloo, is a Project Management Professional, and a member of a number of human factors and modeling & simulation societies. See
